-> March 2006: GEN2X to act in Cap Export USA
During a conference of the French Export Committee, Dr. Stéphane Richard, President of GEN2X LLC signed an agreement on March 1st, 2006 in Paris with the French Ministry of the Economy, Finance and Industry. The agreement was signed in presence of Mme Christine Lagarde, the French Foreign Trade Minister with Mr. Jean-François Boittin Minister for Trade and Economic Affairs at the French Embassy in Washington D.C. Pursuant to this agreement, Dr. Stéphane Richard shall liaise with the French biotech community in San Diego and promote the French interests there.


-> Nov 2005: GEN2X moved closer to InvivoGen
In order to better accomodate the needs of our growing company, the GEN2X headquarters have moved from Lusk Blv to Sorrento Valley Blv, getting closer to the San Diego based company Invivogen.


-> Oct 2005: GEN2X to provide crystallography to Ilypsa
GEN2X LLC signed a service agreement with the Santa Clara based company Ilypsa, Inc. GEN2X will provide Ilypsa with the crystal structure of a target-lead complex.
Ilypsa is pursuing non absorbed, gastrointestinal-based drugs for renal and metabolic diseases utilizing a proprietary high throughput discovery and development platform.


-> Jun 2005: Brewing Active Natural Products in a New Barrel
Stéphane Richard, founder of GEN2X LLC, and his colleagues at The Salk Institute for Biological Studies (La Jolla) and The University of Tokyo, have identified the gene and solved the x-ray crystallographic structure of a bacterial aromatic prenyltransferase displaying promiscuous activity and remarkably novel barrel fold.
The work appeared in the June 16th issue of the journal Nature and was illustrated by the canadian painter Jacques Deshaies.


-> Dec 2004: PKR features Kinase3D
The Protein Kinase Resource (PKR) is a web accessible compendium of information on the protein kinase family of enzymes. This resource includes tools for structural and computational analyses as well as links to related information maintained by others. The PKR is a collaborative project of protein kinase researchers and computational biologists working to create a database integrating molecular and cellular information.


-> Nov 2004: GEN2X features Kinase3D


Kinase3D is the largest database of protein kinase 3D homology models. Sequences published and accessible @ Kinase.com were used to create over 1200 models of protein kinases from humans and model organisms (mouse, yeast, worm and fly).
This database is freely accessible to academic users upon request. Industrial partners should get in touch with us regarding licensing issues.
